On Generosity the Buddha shared
"When a practioner recollects their own Generosity: ‘It is a gain, a great gain for me, that—among people overcome with the stain of selfishness—I live with my heart cleansed of the stain of selfishness, freely generous, open-handed, loving to let go, committed to charity, loving to give and to share.’
When a practioner is recollecting their own Generosity thus, their heart is not overcome with passion, not overcome with aversion, not overcome with delusion. Their heart aligns, through Generosity. And when the heart is aligned, the practioner gains a sense of the goal, gains a sense of the Dhamma, gains joy connected with the Dhamma."
